Why woman’s portrait photography is important
Woman’s portrait photography is important because it is an invitation to switch off distractions and negative self-talk.
- We have ingrained a cultural mindset into us that leads us to see others as our measure of success.
- We want to be liked and appear popular.
- We drool over new purchases and glance wistfully at ‘friends’ online that seem to have all the luck.
- We might stop and ask ourselves if we really want what we say we want, or if we really love what we proclaim to love. We might also ask ourselves if we really hate what we claim to hate.
It’s time to lower the volume and free ourselves from shopping binges, social media updates, and the momentary rush of dopamine we get from each like or retweet.
Being photographed once beautifully in our life is important because it is a memory for all of all that you. Being a women’s portrait photographer is one of the most important professions in the world. It’s not only about taking photos but also making people happy.
And if that means making you happy, well then we are really doing something right. One thing is for sure, women’s portrait photography is not a job that can be taken lightly. It takes time and dedication to get it right.

What is Woman’s Portrait Photography?
Woman’s Portrait Photography is like a gateway into the world of self-expression and femininity. It is perfect for first-timers who are hesitant to be photographed, but want to feel beautiful and celebrate their unique selves.
Most people don’t know exactly what they want when they first contact me, but they all say they want, “to look beautiful in their photos”. And, you know, that’s not a bad thing.
I love beautiful styling and fine art photography, but I don’t think it should be the focus of your photos. It shouldn’t be the reason to be photographed, instead, how you want to FEEL during your session is the most important part.
What happens during Woman’s Portrait Photography?
A typical session will include a few different parts. The first is the connecting phase. This is where you send me an email to discuss what they would like to see in their portrait.
Once a date and time are booked, we plan your makeup and wardrobe. Now the fun begins. I’ll be on hand to help, it’ll be like having your own personal stylist at every step of the way. Trust me, you want to be part of the fun and excitement.
During the session, you’ll be surprised to discover how easy it is. I’ll pose every step of the way and you can review the photos whenever you want. Then, I’ll take your pictures and we’ll review them right away to make sure you are happy with how you look.
I love the pure, unadulterated thrill of seeing how stunning your photographs are for the first time. I love the anticipation and excitement of wanting to look your best…in every way.
It’s a new beginning and I look forward to seeing you shine like a phoenix during your personal portrait session!
We finish on high fives and heady excitement, within 48 hours you’ll be ready to share your proofing gallery with friends and family. Just go to my client review page to see how thrilled people are with their photos.
