Everything you need to know before booking your portrait session
Session tip – look at your photographer’s reviews
What should I expect?
Your session will completely focus on you and your family! We will get to know each other throughout your time in front of the camera. I am here to help guide you, to make you feel comfortable, and to capture you and your personality!
You will notice that I become friends with my clients before, during, and even after the photoshoot (see my reviews). I feel it is important for you to trust me to get the best photographs possible.
I had my first session with Amanda and she made me feel at such ease. Very easy to get along with and makes you feel fully comfortable.
We had a laugh with her bubbly personality and the mood felt light and easy.
Can’t recommend Amanda enough!
The best images are the ones that your friends and family see and say, “that is so you!”. I capture your personality throughout your session so you are left with beautiful and natural photographs.
Making people feel relaxed and comfortable is my specialty! I am all about making you really feel confident which creates images that stand out during your session! I get to know each of you for who you are, I then work to make sure you experience a session that you are proud of!
Family sessions are all about showing the love you share for each other. Please come to the photoshoot ready to have fun. Family and children sessions are usually very high energy!
Where will we meet?
Do you have a special place in mind? I love going to places that hold a special meaning for my clients. Don’t worry if you do not have a spot in mind. I have so many photo location options, so tell me what you are looking for. Some of my favorite photoshoots are in spots you would least expect.
One thing you should know is that I work from my home studio in Ryde! So, if you need a more formal photograph that shines with confidence and approachability, I love the magic corner in my living room. I use this setting for people who need fresh, friendly, open, and professional photographs for LinkedIn.
Most of my clients choose the natural settings, but if you are looking for a more urban shoot I have plenty of locations for that too!
When shall we meet?
Lighting is key! I believe lighting is even more important than the location! I always choose photo session times around the sun for the best images possible!
If you can do an early morning weekend shoot, I would say do it! You will not regret the lighting! However, if you have little ones, it might be best to do it at sunset. Worried about a rainy day on your shoot? Don’t fret! I always have a backup plan!
