Ryde Bike Park – Why evening light is the best
Jade and I nearly missed each other during this session. I was waiting at the back of the skate park in Ryde and Jade was at the front of the bowling alley. It wasn’t until we started walking home that we bumped into each other!
In fact, rummaging through her suitcase allowed us to get to know each other and we were soon giggling over her beautiful pink coat that I’d so admired on her Facebook profile.
We chose the Ryde’s bike park, close to the Bowling Alley, a location that always has great energy and vibe. We knew the young skaters would energise us in the afternoon, allowing us to really connect as we chatted about our love for pink.
So now… I get to share the photos. And everyone makes me smile. At the start I knew that, just like most people, Jade might be self-conscious of having her photo taken. My aim was to create portraits that feel genuine and real – to create a true representation of who she is. Your first professional photographs are such a treasure to have and I am so happy to have Jade’s time in Ryde documented by these photographs.
“I had the pleasure of have done an photo shoot session with Amanda two mondays ago and I’m still enjoying it. I contacted with her because somebody told that she was looking for models to test out a new lens and I offered me as a volunteer and she said yes. I never did a photo shoot session like this before and I couldnt feel more confident and more happy with her (and I was knowing her in person this day!), and of course I enjoyed too much the session. Only for that I can recomend her, but that insnt it!
After she sent me the pictures and see how popular are they being between my friend I have to say that she is awesome!
And is not a simple model session, because a friend of mine told me that the thing that he likes the most of the Amanda Herbert’s photos is the fact that she captured me in every single picture, he said that there is a lot of me in every photo and, in my opinion, that’s the best thing that you could ask in a photoshoot session, specially if you dont know the photographer from before.
Amanda Herbert, congratulations for your fantastic work and you professionality!!”
I’ll be posting more ideas next week, for now, enjoy these other posts:
