Puckpool Park – Isle of Wight portrait photographer
If you’re choosing a portrait photographer on the Isle of Wight, here’s an overview of how natural portraits can be captured for you!
Jasmine first contacted me 3 months ago as she wanted to work with a female photographer that could offer her a range of glamorous images that would enhance her already successful portfolio. Photoshoots are a little like blind dates – the first five minutes are always a little awkward until the ice is broken with a warm handshake, a broad smile, and an enthusiastic jump-start into the first location.
“Working with Amanda Herbert is probably the highlight of my year so far. I felt very awkward about meeting a new person without a chaperon but decided to stay determined in order to gain some new images for my upcoming blog. Throughout the shoot, Amanda remained friendly and since I’m somewhat a beginner to modelling her professional tips and advice helped me sail through the shoot with a beautiful outcome. I’ve now got some beautiful images to add to my blog. Thanks Amanda!” Puckpool Park, Isle of Wight
Here’s how it works …
The thing is, each session is like meeting a new friend for the first time, often there’s just one positive trigger that can bring so much genuine pleasure in being ‘present’, really present in front of the camera. It might be the reflector blowing away, the American footballers showing off for an audience or an unruly dog in the distance. Once the smiles start it hard to keep worrying about the bills or the pile of laundry at home. There’s pleasure in the energy and enthusiasm during the Ryde session.
Why laughter works …
Forget the inertia of a busy working week, laughter that reaches the eyes is real confidence and reveals your inner enthusiasm. It makes you radiant inside and out. Don’t be afraid to connect with your photographer and use the session to create natural portraits, just like S.T. who was determined to stay strong – take each opportunity all around you.
Be real, be yourself, be unique …
Jasmine is such a genuine person. The smiles and laughter in the very last photographs of the day reveal her vitality, energy, and radiant smile. I created a magazine just for her as a ‘thank you’ for her lovely testimonials and kind words.
I hope you find these tips helpful and that your next natural portrait session on the Isle of Wight is a hoot. I’d love to know which tip you think is the most helpful.
