Nothing is as beautiful as spring and this golden spell of weather arrived drawing out the little child in all of us.
Asking Molly-Mae to join me indoors, I was eager to test a new batch of film – Tri-X. Monochrome to suit my style – serene, simple and quietly beautiful. This is the digital versions whilst I wait for the film to return from the lab.
Little did we know a creative collaboration was heading our way – if only for a short time. Undeterred, we got to know each other under a park hut waiting for a little patch of blue to reveal itself in the sky. Allowing us to create natural portraits that are amongst my favourite; it’s such a treat for me to record genuine expressions with nothing else getting in the way.
We chose Seaview, close to the Hovercraft and awash with a golden light. I used the inbetween moments to generate a real connection, chatting about mutual friends and regaling each other about our love for meeting new people.
“I felt a bit nervous and awkward about having my photos taken but Amanda totally put me at ease. She helped me prepare for the session with good advice and once we had chosen to use Seaview Park she made sure that she had already found some great places around the park for shooting.
On the day of the shoot it was raining but Amanda was able to adapt the plan and got some beautiful, natural pictures while we had lots of fun. She had great tips for how to sit and position myself for the best photos, however she was also keen to make sure that I got the style of photos that I wanted. Throughout the session we reviewed the photos to see what worked and she checked that I was happy with how they were turning out – which I was!
I have never seen such lovely photos of myself and can’t recommend Amanda highly enough.” Seaview Park, Social Media Package
