Natural Portraits – Ryde – Portrait Photographer
I thought it impossible.
Our dates clashed.
The weather promised snow.
And then a little miracle.
Everything fell into place, like a blessing.
We met in Ryde, breathless.
The wind was a shade too cold. The traffic wardens a tad too fierce.
Miriam jumped into the car and the fun began.
It’s testimony to Miriam’s positivity that the photographs are filled with laughter and joy.
“Don’t worry about the weather,” I urged, “imagine it’s a balmy summer’s day”. So we played some games, giggled some more and threw caution to the wind.
Getting to know Miriam is like a surprise meeting with an old friend, a brilliant catch-up with a pal, a sweetheart or a workmate.
Stylish and spirited, Miriam has an irresistible sense of humour, making this portrait session in Bethnal Green really special. My job is to create photographs that make her feel spectacular. So she looks back at her time in London and smiles.
Soon Miriam will return to Spain, eager to catch with her family and friends. If I’ve succeeded in creating just a little bit of magic, Miriam will remember the moment these portraits were taken. Knowing that her time in Isle of Wight was happy and relaxed, no matter what was happening all around her.
There’s a certain confidence in Miriam’s smile. It’s not impossible to imagine Miriam gracing the cover of a magazine. But she’s not a model or an actress or famous in any way.
Miriam is a good friend.
A generous soul.
A warm-loving-happy-life-makes-you-giggle-friend that always sees the best in others.
Which is why I agreed to take her photograph. I believe everyone should have the chance to see their beauty reflected back at them.
A farewell present from a newfound friend.
