The location
How to find your perfect location is a tricky question. I have a whole page dedicated to some of my favourite places to photograph on the Isle of Wight. Recommended Locations
Some considerations for the photographer are colours, patterns, props, scale, and of course the weather.
I’m all about making the session easy and flexible for my clients. So I prefer to choose locations that have easy parking, are relatively quiet but with enough foot traffic to make people feel safe, and areas that have flattering light and street furniture such as benches, logs, or rocks that we can use as seats.
You might have a particular location in mind because it has a special memory or is close to where your holiday home is. I can help you choose which of the many locations on the Isle of Wight best suits your needs. Get in touch with your ideas and I can offer some free resources.

I don’t take good photos, can you help?
Photography is about more than just a pretty picture. It’s about having a moment to yourself, taking time to relax, and letting your inner beauty shine through.
Many people tell me, “I never thought I could take good photos.” But that’s okay. I understand you need good photography to convey your feelings or make a statement. A few people almost apologize, “I’ll just be happy with a moment or two of my life captured today ….. Could you please help me?”
In the end, they realize how simple it is to create beautiful photos that they are proud to share when they see their great photos on the back of the camera.
I help by:
• Caring
• Showing you exactly what to do
• Respecting your need to take it slowly
• Patience

Your portraits delivered
People love to see what their friends and family look like in a new outfit or with a new haircut. But what happens after the photoshoot is over? And the second most stressful time during a portrait session is wondering if your photos turn out perfectly.
At the end of the session, you review the photographs and I ask if you are happy with everything we’ve captured. Only when you are completely satisfied do we walk back to the car. Even then I keep my camera slung over my shoulder, some of the most natural moments are captured right at the end when people fully relax.
Before we say, ‘Goodbye’ I talk you through the next stage so you have a clear idea of what I do with the photos. I ask how much Photoshop you want, are there any deadlines we are working towards, and whether you’d prefer Dropbox or WeTransfer to receive the images.
Some people feel overwhelmed when choosing their photographs so I might also help you decide on the best way to choose your photos. I can also recommend which professional printers to use if you decide to print your digital images. I offer a full end-to-end service.
