Natural portraits by a Hoxton Portrait Photographer
Inspiring, is the best way to describe meeting Rai-Anne for the first time.
Every conversation sends ripples of giggles into the air, echoing off the Hoxton walls, a colourful canvas inviting us to play among it’s graffiti fields.
It’s exhilarating.
Meeting by accident. Both educating young children, looking for creative ways to enjoy half term.
It just feels right.
One of the first things you notice, is how relaxed Rai-Anne looks.
Rai-Anne explains her inspiration for her style, a brilliant but simple outlook at the heart of these portraits. To Rai-Anne, real style is personal.
Rai-Anne is elegant, accomplished and unintentionally charming. She works with young children, finds it impossible to be glum and talks softly, dressing elegantly.
You imagine Rai-Anne greeting her friends with a hug, in street smarts, while sharing her latest adventure.
It’s not impossible to picture Rai-Anne in a fashion shoot. She adjusts her hair, smiles, stops smiling, moves her arms, fiddles with her hem line. Exuding confidence.
“Do your superwomen face,” I suggest playfully. Rai-Anne immediately tightens her features, tilts her head down and raises 1 eye brow and looks straight at me.
By the end of the session she has a new self-confidence. The kind that comes from the satisfaction of a job well done.
It’s nearly the end of the day, I compliment Rai-Anne on her creativity.
The result?
Natural portraits with a magic ingredient. Rai-Anne (see her portfolio here).
