Isle of Wight portrait session
I meet Katrina on Instagram @imageobjectif @katrinaaaa_xx
We got chatting.
Six months later I notice she has a shiny new camera to play with, so I suggest we meet up.
Ben came along, the camera was left behind.
The rain decided to join us and so did the laughter, the giggles and the love.
As photographers we are often blessed with a creative eye, which can help or hinder us. We all need to have self-belief but we also need to embrace the fact that we can, and should, continue to learn.
I believe that everyone I meet can do something better than me. At the end of each session, I’ve learnt a new skill, found a new location or discovered a new friend.
What did I find out today?
Ben makes Katrina laugh, easily and fully.
The story of Ben and Katrina doesn’t have a beginning, middle or end. The best of life is about taking the moment and running with it. Together, Ben and Katrina laugh more than they talk.
It’s the small things you notice – a kiss on the forehead, a hug to keep Katrina warm, a poke in the ribs when no one’s looking.
Ben knows how to make Katrina smile and will look after her each and every day, even when she’s sat on his phone and crushed the screen (true story).
My sessions are known for their easy-going nature. I enjoy connecting with people. I offered this portrait session to Katrina because everyone deserves to find their light in front of the camera.
