Elinor-Rose is a dancer producing joy-filled performances alongside Isabelle L’Amour, a friend I was lucky enough to photograph in London (see more of her session here).
Meeting Elinor-Rose in Ryde is a real pick-me-up, and a great way to get that feel-good factor. I say, ‘watch this girl perform’!
Smiling broadly, Elinor’-Rose is breathless with excitement, “wait till you see my outfit – its perfect”.
Our session was impromptu, I asked Elinor-Rose to meet me after viewing her on-line portfolio. This honestly is the best way to make people feel good, and it usually works with artists who love spontaneous sessions.
When the sun is shining on a lazy afternoon in the park, and you get a moment of silence when Elinor-Rose views her photos for the first time, it kind of takes your breath away.
Creating a portfolio for up-and-coming models like Elinor-Rose is my imaginary dream, which I call ‘creative sessions’. These sessions have lots of the little things I love: cute outfits, a big mish-mash of amazing details, and enough patience to share how to look good in front of the camera, so we’re flying with confidence by the halfway point.
These photos are a crossover hit – girl next door alongside sophisticated women, who knows her own mind. It’s about authenticity, confidence and a cheeky dose of fun.
Of course, Elinor-Rose had to go out with a bang.
Her brief – to make photos that grab hold of emotions and completely captivate people.
Perfectly Elinor-Rose – bright, positive and a little bit zany. She holds your attention, pulls you into her conversations and leaves you feeling inspired.
She’s soon to graduate from L’Amour school of dance and her performances will make sure you stay up late at night in a cacophony of applause.
My experience with Amanda was wonderful. She is so much fun to work with and makes the shoot very enjoyable. It felt so easy and natural to pose for her and I would definitely work her again and I would certainly recommend Amanda Herbert Photography to anyone wanting a confident and hard working photographer.
