London photographer – Natural portraits
Ever wonder what your nearest and dearest really think of your on-line profile picture? What about real people, out there in the big wide world? Not your mother. Not your significant other. Not your closest friend. The truth?

Why you should update your social media page
If booking a professional photographer is holding you back. It’s not your fault. Not at all. It’s just too easy to be intimidated by booking a stranger to take natural portraits. Do these questions go through your mind?
- I feel awkward about people watching me
- I never take a good picture
- I won’t know what to do with my hands
No worries, though. We’ll help you get it straightened out.
Learn from my mistakes
Getting off the phone I felt dissatisfied. I had, had a bit of a grumble to my spouse. A few days later, after the same nagging sensation, I called at short notice and cancelled my own professional photo shoot. Two hours before my appointment.
I wanted to know what to wear and the studio manager redirected me to their website. I was nervous and didn’t like the sound of the studio in the background. It was as simple as that.
I’m still using the photographs my husband took in my back garden (you can see for yourself).
Let me share some of my secrets with you
Picture this.
There’s a mere two hours before you join the photographer. Glancing down at the small holdall by your feet, crammed with wardrobe changes, glad you’d sent over a snap shot of the outfits to the photographer.
Feeling much more confident about what your wearing. The bag seems to be straining at the zip. Well, the photographer said bring as much as you can carry right? We don’t have to use all the outfits.
Bing. A message. It’s the photographer, she’s set off already. Setting up early in the best spots. Gah!
Glancing at the phone, you scans the pinterest boards once more. Relieved you’d both focused in on the same style of images.
Pausing on the impossibly happy photograph of a calm, collected women smiling to the camera.
Surely these are models, not everyday people? You’ll be glad if they get one, nice photograph. Walking towards the park gates, a million questions go through your mind. Even though the photographer delivered a field guide ebook, it’s not helping those first time nerves. You really doesn’t want to be watched by all unsundry walking past.
The photographer’s there. In a quiet corner of the park. It seem’s she’s got everything under control.
I produce stylish portraits for the modern women that are neither cliched nor formulaic. The portraits in my portfolio are full of character and detail, captured during relaxed sessions that are ever-practical and fun – so they are easy on the purse strings and appreciated by couples or families too.
