East Cowes Chain Ferry – Isle of Wight Photographer
Working with Holly is like meeting an old friend. This portrait session in East Cowes was the last of the summer sessions. And an end of an era. I’ve worked with almost all her friends over the last year, and loved every bit of it.
We caught up on her news and plans for the future. Hearing everyone’s success in life and how they’ve moved on.
When Holly’s in front of the camera, she looks amazing, and yes, she is naturally pretty. But it’s not good looks that make these photos special. It’s Holly’s energy and charisma (and she has no clue that she does it). I know she isn’t consciously performing for the hulk of metal in my hand, but someone how our connection brings it out in picture format.
Which is my goal in every single portrait session on the IOW.
I tell people, “Look, every time that you get a snapshot taken, any time someone pulls out their phone, I want you to remember today.” My mission is to always show people the tools to use next time they are in front of the camera. Like Holly, they finish the session with a skip in their step thinking, “that was easier than I thought”.
Feel good in front of the camera and use my tips that make you feel better about being photographed.
