Isle of Wight images – what do parents need to know?

Highly enjoyable portrait sessions

4 ideas for busy families preparing for their photo session

The challenge for most families on the Isle of Wight is organizing a beautiful photo of their clan – one that encapsulates dad’s strength (with good hair), the love between the youngsters (just before they jostle each other), and your warm smile (not to mention a great sense of style). But life is never straight forward. Families gathering together, teenagers starting to define who they are, squabbles over whose turn it is in the bathroom. And that’s just for starters.

Photo sessions are a little bit like a beautiful flower arrangement.  Luxurious, elegant, and artfully crafted – each stem slightly different from the next, brought close together and needing slightly different care. But which vase to use? Creating fabulous photos of your family requires planning, thoughtfulness, and a sense of adventure.

Adding style in everyday photographs

Having a custom portrait is like the anticipation you experience when you uncork a vintage wine. Like when you share the first glass of a nice burgundy from your anniversary bottle.

At least that’s what it felt like at the end of this custom portrait session. It’s impossible to describe what stands out because everything seemed to fit together – a range of stylish clothes, happy kids, the location full of possibility, and a positive outlook.

Everything came together in such a happy, eager, and natural way.

Price and Services

Can I share my session?

Yes, a photoshoot with me is for two people. So you can share the fee and get one photograph each. Perfect for couples or business partners. Mothers and daughters. Or Fathers and sons.

What do most people do?

The headshot package is a popular choice for modern women (& men) who want flattering photographs on their social media sites. I never try to make you someone you’re not, so your photos are very light-hearted and natural. Perfect for blogger headshots, online dating profile pictures, or LinkedIn and other social networking profile pictures.

What happens after I book?

Once payment has been successful, you will receive an email to confirm your date and chosen location. A link to access your client files including session guide, ‘on the day’ brochure, client agreement, FAQs document, print size support, what to wear suggestions, and makeup guidance.  You’ll have plenty of time to look through these guides and ask any questions before we meet.

What happens on the day?

All of my sessions last 1-2 hours. You can bring up to three wardrobe choices, and I’ll guide you throughout to ensure the photos look flattering and natural. Solid colours with long sleeves put the focus on your face, so keep that in mind when choosing your outfits. The best lighting in my living room is early morning or late afternoon, so I try to schedule most weekend sessions into these times.

I’m a sucker for planning, styling, and sharing all the little tidbits that other photographers like to keep secret. Key to my customer service is my pledge to look after you, personally, every step of the way.

I have a visual round-up of ideas in my 12 pages ‘what to wear guide’, an illustrated brochure showing you how to wear make-up to ensure you’re picture ready and a 20-page ‘session guide’ magazine giving you an insight into the photographer’s world and the process we’ll go through together in an illustrated collection.
