Victoria Park – London family photographer
“We had a family photo shoot in Victoria Park with Amanda this weekend and what a fantastic experience that was! Amanda did an amazing job with our two small children directing them in a clear and fun way, she didn’t rush anyone and was highly professional. The preview shots we saw looked super and we know we will have some memories to treasure. I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a photographer, you won’t be disappointed! ” Family portrait session, Victoria Park
It’s late afternoon and family E. are arriving for their session after spending the day at the Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood. Naturally everyone is a little excited and feeling nervous. The first step is to make the children feel comfortable, and to start the process a simple walk through the park, helps them settle into their surroundings.
Moving to the newly erected Pagoda in Victoria Park, the family see how beautiful the park is (even on a cold, January day). The boating lake complete with friendly ducks, cheerful pagoda and colourful bridges gives harmony to the pictures and emphasizes the playful character of the family.
Sitting down for a rest follows next. This is a relaxing and enjoyable part of the day. Sitting by the pagoda in Victoria Park allows the children to settle into the shoot and gain in confidence. This is an opportunity to get all those candid moments, as any worries and tensions have disappeared. The positioning is simple and natural so everyone can relax – this is when parents realise that it’s not going to be hard work!
Then it’s off home in time for tea. Family E really enjoyed the shoot as spending time together visiting a new park is fresh and exciting, even when you don’t quite know what to expect next. It’s not everyday you have your photos taken against the back drop of Victoria Park!
