Best of 2015 on the Isle of Wight
Once a year I set myself a new challenge, peek at 2015’s goals HERE and HERE
For 2016 I’m creating something to inspire you, join my support group on FB here, a VIP group designed to get you on my waiting list.
A collection of new people to meet, beauty-boosting portrait tips, style ideas that I heartily recommend, Pinterest links that inspire me, groovy locations, and more.
Here’s my favourite images for 2015. All my treasured favourites.
January
Anna wowed me with the dedication to her studies, her passion for promoting human rights and her unflinching determination to make the world a better place.
February
Claire laughed throughout the whole session. Fun and friendly, Claire helped me create images that were magazine inspired. Planning to meet in Central London, the weather beat us to Virgina Waters. And I’m so glad we tried something new. SEE MORE OF HER SESSION HERE
March
Alejandra is part of my Spanish crew (and are my favourite people to photograph). Easy-going, fun-filled and fuss-free. Simple portraits with natural smiles. I treasure meeting old friends too.
April
Aimee is my kind of gal. Confident and unstintingly loyal to her friends. This session sums up my approach to life. Meeting in Puckpool park, nattering and transforming ugly backdrops into something special. Making it appear effortless. I’m hoping to meet with Aimee again once the weather picks up.
May
Making that connection. Like all ethereal spirits, Jade has a big heart and an engaging personality. This was almost my last session in London, a fitting tribute to my favourite park. See the full session here.
June
I’ve been told by photographers I shouldn’t take photographs for free. That hurt. It’s never about profit or gain or exposure. My photography is a gift. And I choose to use it to promote new talent. Nikitia’s just one example of how I nurture and coach aspiring models. Easing their journey with love, support and trust. SEE MORE FROM HER SESSION HERE
July
Facing my fears and trusting my instincts, I met Jade for the second time. Her vibrant hair and bold style was the antithesis to my work. How would combine with my elegant tones and serene smiles work with Jade? Of course, it’s never the outside that counts. She’s my kindred spirit – bold in her views and clear that people should treat her with respect. She’s been my greatest supporter to date. SEE MORE FROM THE APPLEY BEACH SESSION HERE
August
Amelia waited a long time until I was free. And I’m so glad we caught up. In my new favourite location in Cowes. This session sums up the transformative power of photography. Trust me to guide you through the session and enjoy photographs that make you smile, “is this me”. SEE MORE OF AMELIA’S COWES SESSION HERE
September
Meeting Holly in the summer was perfect. A fitting end to the balmy evenings. Holly is seemingly unaware of just how talented she is. I’m waiting to see her fly. SEE MORE FROM HOLLY’S COWES SESSION HERE
October
Jazz and I pushed the boundaries together. We had lots of crazy plans, not all of them worked, but I love this image. I drive past the flower garden, I smile.
November
Charlotte is a real pal. Embracing film photography I relished this session (and no-one was more surprised than me that film is my new love).

December
Finally, the year comes to a close. My last two shoots are this week. I’m opening a ‘Simply Portrait’ VIP Support Group for aspiring models who’d like to work with me.
The style is elegant imagery like this.
