Appley Park – Natural Portrait – Isle of Wight Photographer
I met Emily in the summer and it was apparent we’d get on immediately. We’re both fans of ‘The Living Dead’ – what can I say!
We applied the same principles to planning this natural portrait session in Appley Park that we do to our movies. We planned furiously together. We didn’t take shortcuts. We shared Pinterest boards to inspire ourselves with every chance that we got. We read over the ‘posing guide’ and ‘on the day field guide’ I created using real-life examples to take away those first-time nerves (ask to see yours).
“I wasn’t very nervous and she was very friendly, patient and helpful all the time, asking me if I was ok and telling me about what we were going to do.” Natural portrait session, Appley Park
Emily went shopping for new clothes (well she had to right?) and I packed and repacked my equipment. By the time we met we felt prepared for our session and confident in the vision we created for the photoshoot. I wanted her family in Spain to be amazed by her photographs.
“I had to wait for 6 months to do the session but undoubtedly, it was worth waiting for it! Before the meeting, Amanda told me about where the location would be and what clothes I could take. The location was perfect for me and I felt like a princess in that place!” Natural portrait session, AppleyPark
“Besides, she also gave me tips about how posing (which I’ll put into practice on my own pictures!), where put my hands…and she made me laugh and talk to try catching different expressions on me…even she was singing! it was two hours of session with a sunny and warm day but i wasn’t tired at all and I really enjoyed it a lot.” Natural portrait session, Gunnersbury Park
I produce stylish portraits for the modern women that are neither cliched nor formulaic. The portraits in my portfolio are full of character and detail, captured during relaxed sessions that are ever-practical and fun – so they are easy on the purse strings and appreciated by couples or families too.
