Appley Park – Isle of Wight Portrait Photographer
Every time I hear a snatch of the musical theatre, “Hey, big spender!”.
I start laughing.
It doesn’t matter if I sing out of tune.
Today I met Tamyka and she’s promised to serenade me with Broadway musicals.
Which sum’s up the her outlook, perfectly.
Assured, confident, prepared.
To capture Tamyka’s smile, the one’s friends see when you’re dancing to their songs, is the best feeling.
So, what makes Tamyka smile?
Bringing people together, grabbing a piggie back from her best friend, eating strawberries and cream.
So we smile, giggle and tease the camera. Throwing caution to the wind, sharing our secrets and playing in a quiet avenue near Appley Park.
And what makes Carmen beautiful?
- Her confidence.
- Her determination.
- Her grace.
Whatever the occasion, getting together for trips to the Globe theatre, picnics in the park and red carpet events (hoping to catch a glimpse of someone lovely).
Today we met for perhaps our final time. Tamyka is soon to return to London and the world is beckoning to her.
Here’s why it matters.
Somewhere between sharing our mood boards, searching for the perfect backdrop and watching the weather outlook, we pause and share a smile.
Bringing friends together for happy portraits and showing them to how to look good in front of the camera, with style, simplicity and ease. And the highlight of our session?
- A warm hug from her friends
- The excited smile confessing they went shopping the day before
- Walking arm in arm as I sing, “the minute they walk through the door!”
At the end of the session we went for coffee, with the refrain ‘big spender’ lingering in the air.
Our ideal day?
Meeting good friends, a scolding cup of coffee, singing little ditties and sharing delicious secrets. Thanks for letting me join you for the day, Mandy x
