What to expect on your portrait session in Isle of Wight
Step 1 – The consultation
Getting to know each other is the first part. You’ll want to know exactly what to expect during your portrait photography session – where we’ll meet, what to pack and what happens on the day.
Once we’ve narrowed down your date, you ‘ll be sent a welcome pack crammed full of goodies including choosing your perfect outfit and how to make the most of your session.
We’ll chat on the phone, email, text or even skype the week before so I can get to know you, your family and your life. I want to know your ‘must-have’ shots and what your hopes are for the session.
“Thank you for processing them so quickly. There is literally about 30 that I adore! It’s been impossible to choose! Thank you for taking such beautiful photos.”
Step 2 – On the day
Photo sessions are a great experience and last for 1 or 2 hours. As soon as we meet I’ll aim to put you totally at ease and am proud of my gift for depicting families with warmth and style.
Expect to have lots of fun, creating natural and relaxed pictures without being cliched or formulaic. Your session may take place on-location at a local park and there’s lots of flexibility for snacks and wardrobe changes.
Your session will be the only one for the day, so there’s plenty of time to get to know each other in order to create a set of portraits that demonstrate your personality, life, and loves.
Bring along a friend or family member, anyone who makes you smile, and enjoy spending time with each other.
” Amanda was lovely with our two young children and we got some amazing natural shots of the kids as well as us as a family. She is a fantastic photographer, who is able to catch character and fun in her shots.” Victoria Park, East London
Step 3 – Choosing your digital images
You can expect clean, crisp photographs carefully prepared and selected for your ordering session. I will choose only the very best images to share on your beautiful slideshow.
The first viewing is within 2 weeks and can be overwhelming, so take time over the next 5 days to discuss your portrait options.
Ask friends to help you decide on whether you’d like to purchase prints, canvases, other speciality items, or any combination of these.
“From the minute you meet Mandy you feel comfortable. She chose such a great spot to take our photos and has a really good eye for everything which makes it totally worth working with her.” South Bank, Central London
My aim is simple – to ensure a truly wonderful experience. I custom each photo session, from the beginning of the shoot right until your items are delivered. My goal is to personally look after you every step of the way. That way I know you’ll get a service that is second to none.
