South Bank – Natural Portraits – London Photographer
I met M. the day London announced they were moving the skate park to make room for retail units. Despite the media fury we got to know each other by the river Thames as we sifted through M’s treasure trove of outfits for the 2 hour photo shoot. In fact, rummaging through her suitcase allowed us to get to know each other and we were soon giggling over her beautiful pink coat that I’d so admired on her Facebook profile.
We chose the South Bank, close to the National Theatre, a location that always has a great energy and vibe. We knew the fun street performers would energise us in the afternoon, allowing us to really connect as we chatted about our love for pink.
So now… I get to share the photos. And every one makes me smile. At the start I knew that, just like most people, M. might be self conscious of having her photo taken. My aim was to create portraits that feel genuine and real – to create a true representation of who she is. Your first professional photographs are such a treasure to have and I am so happy to have M’s time in London documented by these photographs.
“I had the pleasure of have done an photo shoot session with Amanda two mondays ago and I’m still enjoying it. I contacted with her because somebody told that she was looking for models to test out a new lens and I offered me as a volunteer and she said yes. I never did a photo shoot session like this before and I couldnt feel more confident and more happy with her (and I was knowing her in person this day!), and of course I enjoyed too much the session. Only for that I can recomend her, but that insnt it!
After she sent me the pictures and see how popular are they being between my friend I have to say that she is awesome!
And is not a simply model session, because a friend of mine told me that the thing that he likes the most of the Amanda Herbert’s photos is the fact that she captured me in every single picture, he said that there is a lot of me in every photo and, in my opinion, thats the best thing that you could ask in a photo shoot session, specially if you dont know the photographer from before.
Amanda Herbert, congratulations for your fantastic work and you profesionality!!”
