Isle of Wight Newborn Photographer

Daddy holding baby Ryde

Baby photography – Isle of Wight – Seaview

Mothers and sons – an unbreakable bond.

Lauren has a beautiful baby son in her life who helps bring balance in life; makes her proud of how far she’s come and is beautiful in every way.

The birth of a new baby is a moment of hope.

A wish that your son has a heart of gold, will work hard and would do anything for you, who makes you laugh but drives you crazy, who is your best friend and sometimes your only friend, who fills your rainy days with sunshine.

When your new baby is born a silent promise is made and, after meeting baby Edward for his first birthday photo shoot, I know his family will work tirelessly to help him fulfil his dreams: he is truly adored and I can honestly say we are all blown away with these beautiful photographs.

Captured with lots of silliness and breathless gasps as we chased Edward round and round my living room, in and out of the curtains and rolling around the floor all in the hope of capturing those beautiful blue eyes and winning smile.Newborn lying in bed Seaview

Smiling Ryde women in Seaview

Isle of Wight photographer Amanda Herbert

Lovely Job Amanda. Gorgeous lady, Gorgeous tones and for want of better words you could have stole part of her soul and displayed it beautifully.

As soon as I greeted Charly on my drive, a warm and friendly smile burst forth as she called out, “halloooo.” She’s like sunshine in the winter. Without a doubt, Charly’s fond friendships and dedicated professionalism are cemented with her adoring relationship with her partner. Charly’s the sort of gal that supports her friends, trusts people to make the right decisions and stands by others without judgment. My type of pal.

You have an amazing talent and after seeing you work I realise your talent is matched by your connection with your model which keeps them at ease and relaxed.

What does it take to have a natural portrait bursting with life?

Sometimes it’s easier said than done and truly, honestly do you want people questioning your judgment?

It’s easy to say …. go and do it … don’t wait to feel good about yourself … don’t wait for the holidays or when you’ve had your hair done.  And certainly, don’t wait for someone to give you permission.

The truth is the below photographs sum up two self-confessed professionals that consider themselves high performers that might, just might, be a tad critical of themselves.

Speaking for myself, I’ve spent years trying to perfect certain lighting patterns, posing styles or processing edits in Photoshop. And yet, what I return to again and again, is the first photograph in this blog post.

A portrait that expresses happiness and joy, one where my sitters look confident and at ease with themselves and, by gum, Charly has that in spades.

You see, most people have this unspoken resentment that successful people or high performers don’t get nervous, or scared or overwhelmed.

Honestly. We all go through the same self-doubts and nagging uncertainty that leave us fearful to try something new … like a portrait session with an Isle of Wight professional.

Luckily for me, Charly’s curiosity won over her fears.  So when I invited her over to my Livingroom Studio in Ryde a little slice of magic happened.

Charly is elegant, accomplished and unintentionally charming. I’m thrilled with how Charly’s vitally radiates from these photos and I hope she loves them too.

Best headshot photographer on the Isle of Wight

This is the first time!

The very first time …. Katharine enjoys the opportunity of being photographed professionally in my home studio, hidden away in Ryde. She experiences the giddy, tummy tingling excitement of seeing her elegant photos on the back of the camera – a life changing experience.best headshot photographers on the Isle of Wight

Why did she wait so long? Life has a nasty habit of getting in the way – deadlines, commitments, finances and fear. So I asked her, was it worth the wait? Review of amanda herbert

The minute she walks through the door with mum, Katharine is invited to dive straight into her bag and sift through her outfit choices. The first thing we do is prepare to get excited styling your outfits with matching backdrops. Advice, support and broad smiles with twinkling eyes help you reclaim your confidence and determination to capture your best photos ever.

Within moments of stepping into my Living Room studio, I was able to remove Katharine’s first time jitters and self-conscious postures, giving her natural, expressive and elegant portraits that open doors for her dancing and acting auditions.

Remember, you can book your own mini head shot session and then use my welcome guides to help you prepare over the next 3 months (I’m booked through to January 2018).

Easy-going, relaxed, deserving … act now.

How to cope when you’re not overly confident

How to cope when you’re not overly confident

Mothers, why do you get up early every morning when your family stay in bed sleeping? When it comes to your household, there are definitely easier jobs; jobs that bring less heartache and worry. So why did you choose to look after your little ones? What pushes you onwards? What makes you pause at the doorway to their bedrooms and keep battling on through the weary days?

The answers obvious – motherhood isn’t just about cooking chef-like meals or keeping a tidy house. It’s about love; feeling the heartbeat of the person you’re raising; unconditional love forever.

By nurturing your little one, by sharing your life experiences, you set them on the path to happiness and resilience. [Read more…]

Behind the scenes with an Isle of Wight Photographer

Here’s my ode to Holly. She’s da bomb.

What I really mean, is that she’s really, really good at what she does.

After reading my glorious review from a fellow photographer, I thought I’d share some behind the scene pictures to explain why I admire Holly so much.

I cannot begin to thank Amanda enough. She was brilliant from start to finish and I absolutely love the photos she took of me. If you’re thinking of having a session with her, just do it – You will not regret it!
