She’s an actor, dancer and a hunter of vintage treasures (see the wonderful sequinned dress below).
In a nutshell, she’s warmhearted, a kindred spirit to girly, girl friends and passionate about elegant dressing (because she values spontaneous gestures and glows with the radiant light of diamonds on her wrist).
What does she do?
Reaches out to her friends, takes time to find the perfect heels and lingers over newly discovered vintage shops.
And this was her first photo shoot in my seaside homestudio, Seaview.
Katharine looks at her luxurious green dress, found in a vintage shop, her favourite tailored top with flattering sleeve lenth and the dark jeams that look fabulously classy.
Then she looks at her watch. Right on time.
I open the front door to weclome mum and Katharine. A big grin on my face.
I’ll admit to being just a little excited. The views from my livingroom promise a vista of Appley Beach in all its glory – the Hernsey nature reserve, Puckpool Park and the Seaview yahct club laid out before us, an invitation to cry from the roof tops. WE’RE HERE!
“I went and bought some new clothes for today!” Excitement and just a little nervousness disguised behind the warm smile that greets me.
It’s all good!
In the kitchen Katharine talks about the famous faces that might be spotted, the cosy livingroom that is to be our playground and her love for classic designs.
Walking into my livingroom reveals a treasure trove of elegant outfits, splashes of colour radiating charm, warmth and zesty fun.
Our biggest dilemma – how will we choose from all the fabulous photographs?
Our goal? To explore what she really wanted and then go after it with enthusiasm. Natural portraits that radiate fresh, modern vibrancy for her professional acting profile and TV roles.
