Surprise gift for an Isle of Wight portrait photographer
Most of the time, we create photographs of people that are planned, well thought through and based on shared ideas through pinterest.
I recently had a session with Mandy to create images for a portfolio and for actors head shots. Mandy sent a lot of information before the session, which made the preparation a lot less stressful! The session was great (for someone that hates having their photo taken) Mandy has a way of making you feel relaxed with fun and inventive ways to create the best pictures. I was very happy with my time with Mandy and the photos I received after the session were great. I would recommend Amanda Herbert Photography and will certainly use Mandy again in the future. I first asked Lee to sit for me three years ago when I was taking a photography course with Tower Hamlets. Fast forward to 2013 and we still hadn’t come together to create my original ideas for an authentic and real portrait of Lee.
The impetus? Lee had recently graduated and need a portfolio for her social media profile. She wanted a collaboration and was eager to work with me to create images that reveal more than a static actor’s headshot.
The time, preparation and collaboration came together perfectly to create an image that was real, without the need to rehearse or portray ‘an act’. Lee’s images will be shared at a later date, but for now – my surprise thank you gift from Lee!
I produce stylish portraits for the modern women that are neither cliched nor formulaic. The portraits in my portfolio are full of character and detail, captured during relaxed sessions that are ever-practical and fun – so they are easy on the purse strings and appreciated by couples or families too.
