Featuring the 4-part process in easy steps
A big part of what you are paying for is confidence. You’ll want your natural portrait session to go smoothly, receive wonderful images and enjoy a great service whilst watching the purse strings.
Decide what photographs you want – are you celebrating a special event, want to create a gift or need a professional profile for your media sites? Take time to look through a photographer’s portfolio – what style of photographs do they produce? Does their prcie list match your budget? Are they able to create a range of products or simple digital packages?
Make an appointment for a portfolio viewing, ask for testimonials or to see their most recent work. Avoid asking them for a price list immediately. You’ll want to find out a bit about them first and be sure that you can work with them creatively and personally.
Is there a specific image or product you like? Ask the photographer about it. What do yo have at home? How are you using it? When you visit people’s homes, what do you enjoy looking at?
Before the portrait session
Be sure to get photographer’s the terms and conditions to make sure there are no surprises later. Give the photgrapher all your contact details to ensure he or she can get in touch with you directly before the photography session, and get the same from your photographer. Everyone should have clear understanding of what to expect.
During the session – have fun and relax.
If you’ve got to this stage, you know you’ve made the right decision for your photographs.
